Keya Leak is the heart behind Sassy Sage & Sunlight Nursery and Farm.

What started as a simple backyard garden has grown into something much deeper, a space rooted in purpose, intention, learning, wellness, and community. I’ve always had a passion for nurturing things, whether it’s plants, people, or purpose.

Through Sassy Sage & Sunlight, I grow fresh produce and medicinal herbs while creating handcrafted herbal and botanical products inspired by the plants I grow and the knowledge I continue to gain along the way.

As my garden has grown, so has my creativity. I’ve taken my love for herbs and turned it into so much more, from herbal teas and elderberry blends to body oils, butters, elixirs, bath and body products, and men’s products. I’m always learning, creating, and finding new ways to use the herbs and plants that inspired Sassy Sage & Sunlight in the first place.

Every raised bed, every herb, every creation, and every harvest represent another part of this journey.

But Sassy Sage & Sunlight is about more than what I grow or create.

It’s about building a space where people can learn, grow, reconnect with the earth, and feel empowered to grow food and herbs for themselves and their families. As the farm continues to grow, my vision is to create opportunities for hands-on learning, growing classes, herbal education, and guidance for those who want to begin growing at home.

This garden may have started in my backyard, but its purpose has grown far beyond it. It belongs to the community of people who have helped build it, supported it, learned alongside me, and believed in what Sassy Sage & Sunlight can become.

At Sassy Sage & Sunlight Nursery and Farm, our mission is to cultivate wellness, knowledge, connection, and community through natural growing practices, herbal education, handcrafted botanical products, and shared experiences.

We believe there is power in reconnecting with the earth and understanding where our food comes from, learning about the plants growing around us, and gaining the confidence to grow and create for ourselves.

In a fast-paced world, we are creating a space where people can slow down, get their hands in the soil, learn something new, and reconnect with the natural world.
